Mama’s Boy, Jason Voorhees: The Best and Bloodiest ‘Friday the 13th’ Tattoos

Is it really Friday the 13th if you don’t experience some bad luck, have a movie marathon, or consider getting yourself a Jason Voorhees tattoo?

If you’ve ever watched Scream, it’s likely you will never forget that Mrs Voorhees – not Jason – is the killer in the first Friday the 13th film. The 1980 original was followed by a further eight additions to the franchise over 13 years. Audiences were then transported some 400 years into the future in 2002’s Jason X, then brought back to reality and modern day for Freddy vs. Jason (2003), and the remake in 2009.

Despite it being considered by many to be the worst film of the franchise, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday has one of the goriest and visually shocking death scenes – it’s one of my favourites.

A close second is the liquid nitrogen-head smashing scene from Jason X – it was later recreated on Mythbusters to determine whether it was actually plausible.
