If you were a ’90s kid, chances are that you were glued to your television, watching Nickelodeon every day after school. One my favourite shows was Rocko’s Modern Life, probably due to the fact I’m Australian and the title character is a wallaby.
Created by Joe Murray, Rocko was originally a character in Murray’s unpublished comic book series from the 1980s.
Rocko’s Modern Life followed the animated surreal life of Rocko, an anthropomorphic wallaby living in O-Town, along with his friends Heffer (steer) and Filburt (turtle), his dog Spunky, and his neighbours Ed and Bev Bighead (toads).
Over the years, production ran into issues on a number of occasions with the Nickelodeon censors due to the show’s racy humour and innuendos. Despite these struggles behind the scenes, Rocko’s Modern Life ran for four seasons and produced 52 episodes, with re-runs on steady rotation following its finale in 1996.

Given some image results that popped up when researching for this list, I’ve realised that I am not the first person to notice the similarity between Rocko’s toad neighbour, Ed Bighead and the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump.
