Neighbour to the Simpson family, Ned Flanders is deeply despised by Homer despite him being quite possibly the friendliest person in all of Springfield.
Having not watched The Simpsons for a number of years, I was surprised to discover that Ned married for a third time – this time to Edna Krabappel. Following her death, Ned took over teaching Edna’s 4th grade class at Springfield Elementary.
Outside of The Simpsons universe, there are two tribute bands with names inspired by Ned: Ned Zeppelin and Okilly Dokilly.
