The Sabrina many of us remember is Sabrina Spellman (played by Clarissa Explains It All’s Melissa Joan Hart) in the live-action television film and sitcom series called Sabrina the Teenage Witch. The show aired from 1996 until 2003, with a total of 7 seasons and 163 episodes.
However, Sabrina first appeared way back in October 1962 in Archie’s Mad House #22 comic book. She went on to make many more appearances over the years which led to her own comic book series and animated series prior to and following the 90s television series.
Fifteen years after Sabrina the Teenage Witch ended, the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (based on the ongoing Archie Comics series) debuted on Netflix in October 2018, with Kiernan Shipka taking on the role of the witchy teen.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina lasted two seasons (split into four parts), consisting of 36 episodes, before being cancelled in 2020.
After six decades, people just cannot seem to get enough of Sabrina – there’s something in us where we wish we could be (or could have been) that teenage witch. As much as we wish it to be true, the closest we’ll get is in tattoo form.
