Michael Myers isn’t the only white mask-wearing horror movie villain – despite being played by multiple characters, the Scream franchise is built around the Ghostface killers. The mask, inspired by Edvard Munch’s painting The Scream, is synonymous with the ’90s and early-2000s teen horror movie genre.
What was a trilogy in 2000, before being rebooted in 2011, will soon become a six film franchise in a couple of months time. The original Scream film is still praised for being meta, and both identifying and avoiding the common tropes repeated in the horror genre for decades.

Ghostface and Scream inspired tattoos are nowhere near as popular as other villains from other horror franchises, there are hundreds of them out there.
