The Itchy & Scratchy Show is an animated television series which features on The Krusty the Clown Show within the universe of another animated show: The Simpsons. Bart and Lisa love watching the show together, often dissolving into fits of giggles.
The cat and mouse duo appeared in the original Simpsons shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show. Their first official appearance on The Simpsons was “There’s No Disgrace Like Home” (Season 1 – Episode 4).
The mouse, Itchy is voiced by Dan Castellaneta and the cat, Scratchy is voiced by Harry Shearer. There is role reversal with the two as it’s the mouse chasing and attempting to kill the cat, bringing some gory action to the series outside of the Treehouse of Horror episodes.
