Darling Dormouse Tattoos

A dormouse is a nocturnal rodent found across Africa, Asia and Europe. Dormice look similar in appearance to mice but can be distinguished by their furry tails.

In Ancient Rome edible dormouse was enjoyed by people as either a sweet or savoury dish; they are still consumed today by some Slovenians and Croatians.

The hazel dormouse, which is native to the British isles, is just one of 29 species. Only two of those 29 species are considered an exotic pet, although they’re not at all common to be kept as such.

Dormice are known to hibernate for six months – sometimes even longer. Wouldn’t it have been nice to have done that when we were all locked down during the early stages of the pandemic?

Actually, forget about hibernating. Spend your free time constructing your list of tattoo ideas. If a dormouse is on there, one of these artists, or any of the other hundreds featured on TTA can add one to your collection!
