It’s Valentine’s Day, but if this year you’re single and don’t have a partner, love yourself and treat yourself to a new tattoo. Tattoos can be considered a personal love language, right?
Every year on my old website I would select my favourite tattoos from the past year of curation which featured a love heart. I’m currently in the process of uploading my old content here, and I have a backlog of 50,000-plus images that I still need to crop, upload and caption. This year, I’ve instead gone through my archive of images from the past seven years of creating tattoo content online.
Since it’s 2023, I decided to limit myself to 23 of my favourite love heart tattoos. I know there’s hundreds more love heart tattoos to share, but don’t you worry, you’ll see them all eventually.
A love heart literally signifies love and, as an artistic element, the shape can frame and encapsulate something dear to your heart, or be used simply for aesthetics. These images below range in themes from landscapes or weather, to animals and song lyrics – the only limitation is your own imagination.
