Still to this day, snow leopards are being hunted for their fur. Do your little bit for snow leopard conservation by getting a tattoo rather than a fur coat.
A vulnerable species of large cat, the snow leopard is native to areas of Central and South Asia.
Snow leopards are easily identified by their thick white and grey coloured and black spotted fur coats. Living in snowy mountainous regions, the animals’ hair can be as long as 12cm. Unlike other cat species, the snow leopard has a thick, fatty tail which it uses to protect its face from the elements while it sleeps.
There is no collective name for a group of snow leopards as they’re known to be solitary animals, with the exception being a mother and her newborn cubs. All of the tattoos featured here are of only a single snow leopard, but you can choose to do something different, especially if your love of this animal is so great. What about an entire sleeve of snow leopards, or a back piece with a number of them in various poses or different stages of their life?
