Oreos: the créme-filled chocolate sandwich cookies that we love to “twist, link, dunk” were created in 1912.
Many think Hydrox cookies are an Oreo imitation, but that’s actually untrue. Hydrox cookies were first produced four years earlier, and remained on the market until being discontinued in 1999 – the cookies were reintroduced in 2015. Did you grow up eating Hydrox or Oreo cookies?
Over 450 billion Oreos are produced worldwide every year. Oreos are similar to Custard Creams (and Hydrox cookies, of course) with the decorative cookie design but differ in shape and flavour – Oreos seem to come in an endless number of flavours and varieties
Oreo cookies are available in over 100 countries – there are far fewer (decent) Oreo tattoos on Instagram. I have managed to find a few and, despite being a few weeks early for National Oreo Cookie Day (March 6), I’m going to share them with you anyway.
Are you looking to take the plunge (or the dunk, if we’re staying on brand) and get an Oreo tattoo?
