These Santa’s Little Helper Tattoos Are All Winners

Be prepared to race off to the tattoo parlour to add a Santa’s Little Helper piece to your growing Simpsons tattoo collection.

Santa’s Little Helper was adopted by Homer and Bart in “Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire,” the 1989 Christmas special and the very first full-length Simpsons episode to air on television. The pair were at the greyhound track and saw that a dog was left behind by his owner as he had run last.

Part of the family from episode one, Santa’s Little Helper was originally never intended to be a recurring character. In the 30 years since, he has been the focus of several story lines and episodes.

While he remains true to a dog in his appearance, Santa’s Little Helper is not anthropomorphic like other cartoon animals. In saying that, he’s also nothing like a greyhound as he’s portrayed to be quite dumb and disobedient unlike the actual breed.

If you own a greyhound, or just love the breed, and are a huge Simpsons fan, then a Santa’s Little Helper tattoo could be the perfect addition to your collection.
