They say time flies, but it’s difficult to believe that it is coming up to 10 years since the Ultimate Warrior’s sudden passing; he would have been 64 this year.
In the early ’80s, along with Steve Borden (known professionally as Sting), Warrior was invited to train to become a wrestler. While Sting made his name in WCW, Warrior became a star in the then-WWF, battling the likes of Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan before semi-retiring for a couple of years. He would return to the WWF in 1996, followed by a short a run in WCW in 1998, before retiring later that same year.
Warrior’s passing was even more shocking given the fact that he had just spent the previous three days involved in WWE events: being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, appearing at both WrestleMania XXX and the following night’s RAW.
I’ve collected the top 20 Ultimate Warrior tattoos, which not only celebrate his 13 year career, but his wrestling legacy that still lives on today.
Did you know that the Ultimate Warrior released a series of comic books? If you have the time, it’s worth having a watch/listen to OSW Review’s thoughts on them – they’re just as out there as his wrestling promos.
Just like Jim Ross, I still have no fucking idea what “destrucity” means, but I do know a good Ultimate Warrior tattoo when I see one. Keep scrolling and enter the world of Ultimate Warrior tattoos.
