‘Frozen’ Tattoos You Won’t Be Able to Let Go Of

If your love of Frozen is still so strong after a decade, perhaps it is time to consider getting a tattoo.

Released in 2013, Frozen was Disney’s 53rd animated feature film. Inspired by “The Snow Queen,” it was yet another adaptation of the work of author, Hans Christian Andersen.

The Frozen soundtrack, unlike some other Disney releases (The Lion King excluded), absolutely captured the minds of children across the globe, much to the annoyance of their parents who have memorised all the lyrics to every song against their will.

When released, Frozen made almost ten times its budget back at the box office after earning $1.28 billion. It took the title of the highest-grossing animated film from Toy Story 3, and held it for six years until The Lion King remake in 2019. Frozen II, also released that same year, earned $1.45 billion while The Lion King made $200 million more.

It was recently announced that Frozen will become a trilogy. Are you looking forward to seeing the characters return to the big screen one more time?

When curating images for this list, I was so pleased to see just how unique all of these Frozen tattoos are; there’s Elsa, Anna, Olaf and Sven, and even a few crossover pieces with some other Disney characters.

What I’ve yet to see is a tattoo of Elsa’s ice castle. Suffering through Australian summers, I’d love to have Elsa’s magical powers to create snow and ice. Snowflakes are one of my favourite pieces of tattoo imagery – you’ll see plenty of them in these Frozen tattoos, and even more in a future snowflake dedicated list.

If you love cool tones, cold weather, and anything Disney, then a Frozen tattoo should be your next addition to your collection. Your own Frozen tattoo could be for BFF or sister tattoos with Anna and Elsa; part of a Disney sleeve; or to represent you and your child’s favourite film.

Don’t even think about stealing or copying any tattoo you see here because the tattoo artist and their client definitely won’t “Let It Go.”
