The first thing you notice on a Bengal cat is their lovely spotted coat – the breed was actually developed to have an appearance of that of leopards and ocelots.
Selective breeding of the wild Asian leopard cat, and being four generations removed, is what produces what is considered to be a domesticated Bengal cat – they have the same temperament as a regular cat.
Unlike the long history of the majority of dog (and many cat) breeds, the Bengal was only recognised as a cat breed a little over three decades ago.
Bengals are known to be talkative, and they love water, but love attention even more. Getting a tattoo of your own Bengal cat would be just another expression of that attention they love so much.
