So many wrestlers have had their lives cut tragically short, but there is a way in which to pay your respects to some of the greats. While some still poke fun at wrestling fans, there’s nothing more touching than a wrestler (or wrestling manager) tribute tattoo to prove that they’re gone but not forgotten.
With wrestling fans across every generation, many people have shared memories of watching wrestling with a parent – or even a grandparent – hearing them tell stories of going to wrestling shows when they were younger, or learning wrestling history through them and discovering all about their favourite wrestlers.
A tribute tattoo is an opportunity to take a photograph (or particular elements) of a wrestler and combine it with your preferred tattoo style in order to produce a piece which brings back such wonderful memories.
Your choice of wrestler (or manager) may be completely obscure, or someone everyone recognises. The piece could even become a double tribute – a tattoo to both represent a deceased wrestler and a reminder of a family member or friend who’s passed on.
Here’s something to remember for any potential wrestling tattoo: what once was a tattoo of your favourite wrestler will ultimately turn into a tribute piece, so make it a good one!
