These ‘Up’ Tattoos Will Leave You Emotional

2024 will mark 15 years since the release of Pixar’s Up – even after all this time, are you able to make it through the opening sequence without becoming a blubbering mess? Will these Up inspired tattoos have the same effect on you?

Still to this day, Up has one of the most heartbreaking beginnings to any Pixar film and has you reminsicing on past events in your own life, or your hopes and dreams for the future.

Sometimes we wish that we could just uproot our entire lives to travel or to move (permanently) to another corner of the globe, although Up also acts as a reminder to embrace the people you have in your life because we don’t know what the future has in store for us.

Beautifully animated and with such a heartfelt story, Pixar fans have embraced the love story of Carl and Ellie, and even gone so far as to tattoo the couple on their body. But that’s not to say that the house, the balloons, Dug the dog and Russell don’t feature heavily in many of these fan tattoos – the many pieces of imagery and tattoo styles mean that even such iconic pop culture references can still produce such special tattoos.

Up received five Academy Award nominations and won for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Score. Put on the Up soundtrack and take your time scrolling through this uplifting collection of tattoos.
