The original PlayStation gaming console was released back in 1994 – realistically older than some of you visiting this very website. A further four consoles have been produced, beginning with the PlayStation 2 in 2000 and the recently released PlayStation 5 (PS5).

There initially was meant to be a deal between Nintendo and Sony to develop a new gaming console. The talks date all the way back to 1988, but the deal broke down in the early ’90s. The official prototype was created by combining a Super Nintendo with a CD-ROM drive.
Sony Executive, Ken Kutaragi is considered “The Father of the PlayStation,” while the PlayStation logo was designed by Manabu Sakamoto.
December 1994 was when the first PlayStations were sold in Japan before being made available in Europe and North America the following year. You could consider this year to be the 25th anniversary for the PlayStation.
The technology, design and graphics used now to create the console and its games have advanced considerably in the 21st century; the same could be said (in some way) for the art of tattooing.
