My Melody, or My Melo for short, is another character in the Sanrio family. She is best friends with Hello Kitty, but considered a rival by Kuromi.
My Melody is a rabbit who is known for her iconic red or pink head covering and either a bow or flower on her right ear. She originally portrayed Little Red Riding Hood in Sanrio’s version of the fairytale which is when she first donned her headgear.
Her birthday is January 18 and she is said to live in the Mariland Family Home in a forest in London. Created by Sanrio in 1975, My Melody will celebrate her 50th birthday next year.
