Rhea Ripley has certainly made her mark in WWE, with some of her fans making their own mark, but in a different manner, instead with tattoo tributes to the Australian-born professional wrestler.
Ripley’s career began a little over a decade ago in Riot City Wrestling in her hometown of Adelaide. She signed with WWE in 2017, and the following year debuted a new look and attitude. Gone were her long blonde locks, replaced with a new hairstyle and darker, edgier ring gear, and her skin displaying the beginnings of her tattoo collection.
Ripley has gone from one success to another in the squared circle, making history and setting records along the way. As the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Champion, she’s in the record books as the first female Australian champion. 2023’s Royal Rumble event saw Rhea Ripley as the number one entrant, going all the way to win, a feat which only three other wrestlers have achieved, in addition to being the first woman to do so, and the first-ever Australian match winner. Forced to vacate the Women’s World Championship due to injury earlier this year, Ripley tied with Bayley’s record setting reign of 380 days as champion.
In recent years, Ripley’s work in the Judgment Day and Terror Twins factions has captivated audiences and surely guaranteed herself a future place in the WWE Hall of Fame.
