Released in 2009, it’s the 15 year anniversary of the box office flop, Jennifer’s Body.
Directed by Karyn Kusama, the movie was written by Diablo Cody, the same person behind Juno. It even stars the actor who played Juno’s dad, J.K. Simmons, along with Adam Brody (Dave in Gilmore Girls). But the main stars of Jennifer’s Body are Megan Fox and Mean Girls’, Amanda Seyfried – both actresses have starred alongside Lindsay Lohan.
Despite underperforming upon its release, Jennifer’s Body has developed a cult following that continues to grow with each passing year.
The members of the fictional band Low Shoulder use Jennifer (Megan Fox) as a sacrifice to Satan in an attempt to gain the fame and fortune they desire – this goes right, but also so very wrong. Jennifer becomes a succubus, unable to feel pain. She now must feed on human flesh otherwise she becomes weak, which is when she’s able to be killed. I won’t give away too much just in case you’ve heard of Jennifer’s Body but haven’t yet gotten around to viewing it – the title of this list will make much more sense then.
