The Halloween franchise was revived with a trilogy following on from the original 1978 film, we’re getting a seventh Scream film, and a long-awaited sequel to I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, but nothing new to either the Freddy or Jason franchises since their respective remake and reimagining in 2010 and 2009.
Freddy Krueger made his presence known at the conclusion of 1993’s Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday.
It then took an entire decade before fans got what they had eagerly anticipated, Freddy and Jason battling one another on the big screen.
