Zoe Margot – known on Instagram as @batsforbrains – is the owner of Richmond Tattoo Club in Richmond, Virginia where she creates the boldest of bold tattoos. I would describe Margot’s work as American traditional imagery and techniques with a modern spin.
On her Instagram, you’ll find tattoos ranging from animals and plants, to pop culture and horror, or various themed pinups inspired by film and television. I especially love her roller skating pinups.
If insects truly do bug you out, you’ll be pleased to know that they’re not the only things Margot tattoos. Here on TTA she’s been featured in lists including They Live, My Chemical Romance, and The Golden Girls.
You can get an insect tattoo as a gap filler, to represent something or someone in your life, or even as a reference to a song. I’ve found a selection of insect tattoos to share with you, but I’m sure you’ll see Zoe Margot pop up more frequently on TTA in the future.
