I quite literally view hundreds of thousands of tattoos yearly, but the curation process for this Tattoo Artist Profile (TAP) led me to the most geese tattoos I’ve ever seen in my life, and they all come from the one tattoo artist, the Goosefather himself, Adam Silas.
Working out of London and Bristol in England, Silas’ tally of geese tattooed is 584 at the time of publishing.
Pop culture references are a common theme in Silas’ work. There’s moments and quotes from classic movies with the protagonist reimagined as a goose, tv characters or musicians styled as geese, or internet memes, substituting in geese. The puns relating to geese (bread/goose/gander/honk) and Silas’ own captions add a further layer of humour to these already silly goose tattoos.
“All panic, no disco” is a repeated design, with elements changed slightly for each client. There’s even tattoos of geese giving tattoos – goose-ception is strong with those pieces.
If you don’t take life or tattoos too serious, a silly goose tattoo will perfectly reflect your playful personality. You have the choice to develop your own concept or mashup, or take your pick from Silas’ available pre-drawn flash designs.
