Tempting Poison Apple Tattoos

Released almost 90 years ago, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is probably one of the oldest films referenced on TTA. While this isn’t exactly a Disney tattoo post, don’t despair as more Disney tattoo list will be coming your way in 2026.

In Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs the Evil Queen is unhappy with not being the fairest of them all and plans to have Snow White murdered. After the Magic Mirror reveals Snow White is still alive, the Evil Queen uses an ageing potion to transform herself into ugly old witch. She heads out to the woods, to the house of the seven dwarfs and offers Snow White the poisoned apple – one bite and the “Sleeping Death” curse took hold. If there was more death and graphic violence, and no happy ending, this animated film could almost be considered part of the horror genre.

Back in reality, folklore and media hysteria have contributed to the myth that people have intentionally poisoned candy and put razor blades into caramel apples to harm children. Despite all this, every year millions of children continue to put on their costumes and go trick-or-treating.
